Many parents join the school because of what it has to offer their children and their families both before and after the school day – wrap around care.
For many years we have had a Breakfast Club at school where all children can enjoy breakfast, games and care before the school day starts at 9.00am.
This club starts
at 8.00am and costs £1 per session. Your child simply comes into school
and is welcomed by the school secretary and then joins their friends in the
school hall whilst being supervised by one of our classroom assistants, Mrs
Smith-Burnand. All you need to do is to fill in a form (click
here for form)and bring it to the office on your child’s first day
at Breakfast Club. There’s no need to pre-book, but please, pay at the
beginning of each morning you want your child to attend.
At the end
of the day, we also offer an After-School facility
– The Little Bs. This is childcare which, although run by a private
company, is still very much part of our school. This runs from 3.20pm until
5.45pm.
At the end of the day, the children are met inside school by the same person every night who then takes them to the room in which the club is held. Knowing the person who is caring for your child makes a huge difference to the security of your child and allows good relationships to take place. The club is OfSTED Registered.
Every evening, there are games and activities for the children, opportunities to complete homework and be heard reading as well as lots to play, see and do. Meals are prepared in their own kitchen area and enjoyed by children from Nursery to Year 6.
