Sharecare - what is Sharec@re?
please click here to see a presentation on Sharec@re
Sharecare is a new way of thinking in arranging provision at Oldfield Brow Primary School. It aims to think about the needs of both pupils and parents of the school and extend the care and provision to more fully meet everyone's needs.
It is the entire package of support and guidance that is beyond the traditional expectations of a school.
Currently, the school has a number of Sharec@re-type initiatives that run
on a regular basis and are well established in the working of the school.
These are:
- Breakfast Club
- After-School Club (Little Bs)
- Nursery Lunchtime provision
- Parental involvement in Foundation Stage classrooms
- Foundation Stage Parent Workshops
- Healthy Eating and Healthy Lifestyle agenda
- Mother and Toddler Group
- Wider range of extra-curricular activities
There are other areas which we would like to realise:
- More family workshops for pre-Nursery
- More KS1 and KS2 Parent/Pupil activities
- Meeting adult learning needs
- Ready access to other professional services
- Pre-8.00am breakfast provision
- Library/Media Centre for school and community
- Purpose built community/school facility
Watch out for the progress that we make!
