Nursery
Oldfield Brow Primary School is housed in a traditional style building which serves a wide catchment area from the Oldfield Brow area in Altrincham to Dunham Massey. The school looks out onto pleasant surroundings with fields and the Bridgewater Canal close by. Our own grounds comprise of well kept gardens, a field, grassed playing field, and a wildlife pond area created by children and Parents.
Our purpose built Nursery has its own play area where children can explore their world even further.
It's the perfect start to your child's education...
Main School
Our school is made up of eight classes. The Nursery and Reception make up the Foundation stage. (3 to 5 year olds)
Years 1 and 2 are the Key Stage One classes. (5 to 7 year olds)
Years 3, 4,5 and 6 are the Key Stage Two classes. (7 to 11 year olds)
Each class is taught by a qualified teacher who works with at least one other classroom assistant in the room. We believe that the staff within the school are the best resource that a child can enjoy and learn from.
This means that – on average – each Oldfield Brow child is part of a class with an adult:child ratio of 14:1. This means that every child receives more individual attention than could normally be expected.
It is due to the individual attention, help and guidance that allows all children to make better progress than that usually seen in many other schools.
There are 198 children in the school and a 52 place Nursery which can provide full time places. Children at Oldfield Brow are taught by teachers who are passionate about education and the care that they provide. Every child is seen as an individual. We believe that every child has individual talents and abilities just waiting to be discovered. These skills are fostered whilst the child is at school in the best way possible. We truly believe 'only the very best will do'.
