Sun Shines In Wales

The sun has got his hat on, hip hip hip hurray!!!!!! Nothing but blue skies all the way to Borth Animalarium and Aberystwyth beach.

Red Kites Spotted

Numerous Red Kites spotted on the way there and back (Miss Brash tried to claim that a plane was a Kite), many more exotic beasties at the Animalarium.

Invisible Beavers?

In place of the much-missed Geoffrey’s Cat, there are apparently some beavers. But they remained unseen, hidden in their lodge, so perhaps we have the beginning of a new Borth legend...

Tuesday Evening

This evening, either sports activities in the hall or a badger-spotting walk in the woods.

badger

What are the chances of 20 silence- phobic kids getting within 200 miles of a badger – let you know tomorrow.

Some of us have tried to phone home, but the payphone at Cefn Lea is well dodgy. So if you haven’t heard from us yet, don’t panic. Chill out dudes – we’re in good hands and having a well wicked time. Gotta go – need sugar and then have to run around pointlessly for a bit.

snake

Bertie the Boa (“The Big One” – 10 stone and thirty feet of snake) had recently shed a complete skin, which is now in a plastic bag on the way back to Cefn Lea to be measured, photographed and generally marvelled at. Feels a bit like bubblewrap. Wonder what it tastes like?

In The Sea

On to the beach under clear blue skies. Chips for lunch, run into the sea, scream at the cold, run out again, get breath back, go in again, repeat until goosebumps the size of molehills.
Dry off, warm up in the sun, get changed,(forgot to bring underpants -doh!) get ice cream (or two), back to minibus, back to Cefn Lea to top up on sweets, crisps and Lucazade before pizza and chips for tea.
